The most interesting thing to me surrounds the significance of Revelation 12: 6–8 and 20:7–9
Revelation 12:6-8
6 And the woman fled into the wilderness, where she hath a place prepared of God, that they should feed her there a thousand two hundred and threescore days.
7 And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels,
8 And prevailed not; neither was their place found any more in heaven.
Revelation 20:7–9
7 And when the thousand years are expired, Satan shall be loosed out of his prison,
8 And shall go out to deceive the nations which are in the four quarters of the earth, Gog, and Magog, to gather them together to battle: the number of whom is as the sand of the sea.
9 And they went up on the breadth of the earth, and compassed the camp of the saints about, and the beloved city: and fire came down from God out of heaven, and devoured them.
This is a larger point, but basically it means that sin does exist in Heaven, and that the number of people (as the sands of the sea) who once were in Heaven, end up in Hell anyway!!
I know it sounds hard to believe, but the fact is, Heaven is an accommodation for man, its not our ultimate destination (Revelation 21:1–3) and as Satan was able to deceive a third of the Angels in Heaven (Revelation 12:4 - stars are Angels in this reference), he will deceive men again after the 1000k year reign on earth with Christ.
This defines the perfecting of mankind, after all we have been through, life, death, Heaven and transitioning from having faith to knowing facts, as we witness the difference between what we believed to what we will actually know. If you see Heaven and Angels and Christ in person, you don’t have to believe it, you know it. That is the absence of faith, we must make this transition through these experiences. It places into perspective the events of life, death and faith.. extremely profound…
