The first thing to note is that civil war is a human designation, we are talking about spiritual beings with respect to Angels. The war that took place, was among Angels, prior to God creating the foundations of the earth (Job 38) and man being placed here. Therefore demons were on earth before man as a result of this battle.
The question to weapons have to be relegated to what weapons Angels are recorded as having in scripture, which is limited to a type of sword.
Genesis 3:23-24
23 Therefore the Lord God sent him forth from the garden of Eden, to till the ground from whence he was taken.
24 So he drove out the man; and he placed at the east of the garden of Eden Cherubims, and a flaming sword which turned every way, to keep the way of the tree of life.
1 Chronicles 21:16
16 And David lifted up his eyes, and saw the angel of the Lord stand between the earth and the heaven, having a drawn sword in his hand stretched out over Jerusalem. Then David and the elders of Israel, who were clothed in sackcloth, fell upon their faces.
Numbers 22:23
23 And the ass saw the angel of the Lord standing in the way, and his sword drawn in his hand: and the ass turned aside out of the way, and went into the field: and Balaam smote the ass, to turn her into the way.
To the death of Angels
There is no biblical support that Angels die, technically, people don’t die either, you are an eternal being that will live on in way or another.
