In short as a map, there are very specific warnings where we can see the prophetic words in scripture are coming to pass. It should increase your faith in that you can see what was actually said and what is actually happening in our lifetime.
Consider Luke 4:5–8
5 And the devil, taking him up into an high mountain, shewed unto him all the kingdoms of the world in a moment of time.
6 And the devil said unto him, All this power will I give thee, and the glory of them: for that is delivered unto me; and to whomsoever I will I give it.
7 If thou therefore wilt worship me, all shall be thine.
8 And Jesus answered and said unto him, Get thee behind me, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve.
In a conventional sense, there was no way during this period in history to see the kingdoms of the WORLD, Egypt, China, Africa etc. from the top of a mountain, even if it were Mount Everest.
It was a spiritual manifestation of something we are only in recent history able to conceive of. Today we understand this carnally as the internet, TV, satellite etc. But in that day it was a manifestation of a prophetic ability to come over a thousands years in the future.
I this regard, consider Matthew, Isaiah, Daniel, Revelation etc. as a similar snapshot of events and capacity before its time, as we are only now able to shape many of these prophesies into reality as mans understanding catches up to the prophetic words spoken.
