The short answer is yes, in many ways Revelation predicts evolving events surrounding the planet and man. The global warming piece connects directly with Virtue Angels.
Virtues are also known as Strongholds, they are in the second hierarchy of Angels after Dominion Angels. They are responsible for the movements of Heavenly bodies which is everything in the air, clouds, atmospheric conditions, lightening, asteroids, meteors, etc. They are also linked to the attribute “Might” (Ephesians 1:21). Their primary duty is to supervise the movement of Heavenly bodies in order to ensure the Cosmos remain in order. They may be directly involved during the tribulation, directing asteroids and meteors into the atmosphere and removing the atmospheric transparency of the Ozone layers to permit more direct solar radiation on the planet.
The warming of the planet is a progressive manifestation of the work of these Angels. Satan was able to show Jesus the glory of the entire planet from a mountain top, which can be construed today as cable TV, Satellite, internet etc.
Luke 4:5-8
5 And the devil, taking him up into an high mountain, shewed unto him all the kingdoms of the world in a moment of time.
6 And the devil said unto him, All this power will I give thee, and the glory of them: for that is delivered unto me; and to whomsoever I will I give it.
7 If thou therefore wilt worship me, all shall be thine.
8 And Jesus answered and said unto him, Get thee behind me, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve.
We are the ones who need understanding, we are the ones late to figure out the sciences or how a spiritual thing manifest physically. As man progresses in the sciences and technology, we expand our view on the interpretation of scripture. What these writing must mean and our lack of understanding in the moment, does not preclude or invalidate the relevance or application of scripture.
The Bible has predicated the manifestations of the Worlds condition in great detail, by thousands of prophets over thousands of years. Its more likely we are the ones just starting to figure things out….
