Can you be a true Christian whilst leading a homosexual lifestyle?

This may seem like a harsh answer, but not in the long run. Consider a person who curses their parents everytime they see them, would you say this person respects their parents? Would it make you uncomfortable if you respect your parents, and you saw a friend of yours cursing at their parents?

What about a person who is perpetually involved in adultery, do they love their spouse, are they a good example for their kids?

The question is if these people in my example consider themselves Christians, does this behavior speak to what a Christian should do? Is it in the spirit of the Lord?

In (Leviticus 20:8-27), the God gives Moses some rules governing the children of Israel. In these verses, cursing your parents, adultery, incest among mothers, sons, fathers and daughters-in-law, homosexuality, communing with familiar spirits, sex with animals are all punishable by death.

The point is, when your a Christian, despite your feelings, interest or desires, we must die to whatever that is, if those desires are out of the will of the Lord. The good news is that this change of heart is through the conviction of the Holy Spirit and no one else.

If you are a Christian, you don’t need anyone to tell you what is wrong with what you do, the Holy Spirit will do that. But its up to us, to listen and make the changes. If we are actually involved on an ongoing basis in what God considers an abomination to Him, there will come a time when God will turn His back on us.

Romans 1:27-32

27 And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet.

28 And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;

29 Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers,

30 Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents,

31 Without understanding, covenantbreakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful:

32 Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them.
